Dr. Ganz completed his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois, graduating
Magna Cum Laude. He then received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1980 and performed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Since 2005, Dr. Ganz has been an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. He is active on the medical staff of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and recently served on the Medical Board of Directors. In addition, he is active in national GI societies and recently completed a term on the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Governing Board. He is also currently Chair of the ASGE Foundation Board for the ASGE Research Foundation.
Dr. Ganz is actively engaged in clinical research with specific interests in esophagus and stomach, gastroesophageal reflux diseases, and Barrett’s Esophagus and is widely acknowledged as a leading authority in these fields. Dr. Ganz has published over 100 articles, abstracts, and book chapters about digestive diseases and has made innumerable presentations at national medical meetings. He has been named as one of the Best Doctors In America several times and also recently received the ASGE Distinguished Service Award. He was also selected as a member of the Inaugural Class of Masters of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (MASGE).
In addition, Dr. Ganz is an avid inventor and holds 25 patents in the field of medicine, with several pending. He is widely considered to be a pioneer of cutting-edge medical technology and has co-founded several medical device companies including BARRX Medical Inc., which is devoted to the treatment of Barrett’s esophagus and early-stage esophageal cancer. He was the first person in the world to perform balloon-based radiofrequency ablation of Barrett’s esophagus and was also on the team that implanted the first magnetic sphincter device (LINX) for the treatment of esophageal reflux.

Alex is a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist with a real food and non-shaming approach to balanced nutrition. She started her career in the hospital setting where she focused on diabetes care, cardiac rehab, oncology and homecare.
From there her passion led to the wellness aspect of nutrition. Her most recent training ties in functional nutrition concepts with holistic approaches which allows her to marry both clinical and functional health strategies. For her clients, she customizes an effective yet practical plan to help them reach their goals.
Previously, she had an afternoon clinic in neighboring schools and also completed behavioral medicine consultations in the acute care setting of the hospital and emergency department. She became very interested in the physiology and medical aspects of behavioral medicine, and went on to complete her graduate and doctoral degree in Physician assistant studies.
Dr. Adam Quinn, a board-certified family medicine physician at Altru, sees patients of all ages and general medical concerns. He specializes in Sports Medicine, where he focuses on the health of athletes from a variety of skill levels.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Quinn enjoys spending time with his wife, their three children, and their dog. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as hockey, volleyball, curling, mountain biking, and skiing. He likes going to sporting events and being at the lake. He recently completed his first marathon and often provides medical coverage for marathons and other sporting events in the area.

Dr. Lobanoff completed his pre-medical training at Duke University before moving on to medical school at the University of Michigan. In 1995 he was awarded a Howard Hughes Research Fellowship and spent a year performing eye research at the National Eye Institute in Washington, D.C., one of the most advanced eye research facilities in the world. From 1998 to 2001 Dr. Lobanoff trained at the Emory Eye Center in Atlanta, where he learned the latest in ophthalmic surgical techniques and post-operative care. He went on to train at the University of Minnesota, completing a yearlong fellowship in corneal and LASIK surgery. Prior to moving from Colorado to Minnesota, Dr. Lobanoff worked in private practice and was on staff at the University of Colorado’s Department of Ophthalmology.
His LASIK center has such advanced technology that Dr. Lobanoff can treat many patients who have been told by other doctors that they are not candidates for LASIK. For those few patients who are not candidates for LASIK, Dr. Lobanoff is able to offer the new Visian ICL to restore their vision and do so safely.
Dr. Lobanoff offers refractive surgeries including LASIK and PRK using the latest generation excimer laser with the most advanced eye-tracking system available. He has performed thousands of LASIK surgeries and is certified to use the new wavefront technology for custom LASIK. Through LASIK, he is able to correct farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia.
Today, in addition to performing LASIK, Dr. Lobanoff lectures across the country on LASIK and corneal disorders.
Lance Silverman, M.D., received his medical degree in 1996 from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, which ranks consistently among the top of our country’s 125 medical schools. After finishing a year-long surgical internship and a four-year residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, he was awarded a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which U.S. News & World Report has consistently recognized as one of the premier programs of its kind.
Dr. Silverman trained to manage all foot and ankle conditions under the guidance of Stephen F. Conti, M.D., who is the director of the Orthopaedic Division of foot and ankle surgery at Allegheny General Hospital, associate professor at the Drexel University School of Medicine, and chairman of a highly competitive foot and ankle fellowship for nearly 20 years.
Dr. Khabie is a board-certified otolaryngologist, who was born and raised in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. During Medical School he spent a year at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a Howard Hughes Research Scholar. He has numerous publications and awards including the Young Investigators Award from the American Association of Cancer Research based on his work at the NIH.
Dr. Chapman is a Board Certified Dermatologist who received her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and her medical degree and dermatology residency from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Norberto S. Schechtmann, MD is an Internist (Primary Care Doctor) in Melbourne, FL. He specializes in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, has 16 years of experience, and is board certified. He graduated from San Francisco Heart Inst and he is affiliated with Hca Florida Highlands Hospital and Holmes Regional Medical Center.
