Hormone Replacement Therapy in Eagan, MN

As men and women grow older, many aspects of life can change. Some of those changes are positive, like having more discipline, financial freedom, and patience. Other changes are more difficult to deal with - particularly those we can't change. The fact of the matter is that as we age, the hormones in our bodies change, too. These changes can cause a range of issues for both men and women.

On the male side, testosterone often depletes. When testosterone levels drop, men often experience decreased energy, muscle mass, and even decreased sexual desire. Females go through a similar, albeit different experience called menopause, which can cause a litany of problems ranging from physical symptoms like vaginal dryness to mental health challenges like low self-esteem and even depression.

In the past, most people had to just "deal" with these symptoms and carry on as best they could for years. Their youth left, and with it, so did their joy in life. Fortunately, modern medicine has come a long way. Today, men and women don't have to settle for imbalanced hormones and the fallout that occurs thereafter.

Health clinics like LX Medical now offer HRT in Eagan - a revolutionary treatment that rebalances hormones and gives many men and women a new lease on life.

What is HRT?

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a medical treatment designed to supplement hormone levels in the body when they are insufficient. It is commonly used to address various conditions and symptoms in both men and women. These symptoms often become noticeable after the age of 40, although some individuals may experience declining hormone levels at an even younger age.

HRT should be customized to each person's specific health and lifestyle and can be administered in different forms, either in medical facilities or in the comfort of your home or workplace. Before beginning HRT, it's crucial to consult with a doctor who can perform the necessary lab tests to assess your hormone levels accurately.

Optimize Testosterone and Reverse Aging with HRT in Eagan for Men

When people mention hormone replacement therapy, they usually think of women tackling challenging symptoms during menopause. This reputation is well-deserved because HRT effectively alleviates night sweats, hot flashes, and other menopause-related issues caused by a significant drop in estrogen levels.

But what about men? Don't hormone levels drop off when males hit a certain age, too? The answer to that question is undoubtedly "yes." Historically, the male population was overlooked in terms of HRT, but that's no longer the case. If you've been slogging your way through life and dealing with sensitive issues like erectile dysfunction or ED, you're not alone. Nowadays, there's greater awareness of men's hormone imbalances, and more and more men are discussing with their doctors how to reclaim their quality of life.

Common Signs That a Male's Hormones Are Imbalanced

Certain underlying health conditions can impact the production of hormones in your body. For instance, imbalances in the thyroid can be caused by autoimmune diseases or medication, while men normally experience a decline in testosterone after the age of 30.

When a man's testosterone drops, they often experience a range of difficult symptoms, which can include the following:

Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

It's important to note that hormones like testosterone play a crucial role in male sexual health. When levels are low, it can result in a decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, and other sexual performance issues. Have you ever been in the "heat of the moment" with your spouse but have been unable to "get it up?" If so, you may have imbalanced hormones or low T. The first step to reversing this embarrassing issue is to have your hormone levels checked with lab work from LX Medical. If we discover that your hormone levels are low, HRT in Eagan could be a viable solution for improved sexual health.

Hormone replacement therapy has been found to stabilize mood by balancing hormone levels.

Problems with Sleep

Sleep pattern changes, like difficulty in falling or staying asleep, can be a sign of hormone imbalances. Testosterone plays a role in regulating the sleep cycle, and a lack of it can disturb sleep, potentially causing additional health problems.

The signs above are only a few indicators of low T and imbalanced hormones. Keep an eye out for these symptoms as well:

  • Lack of Focus
  • Low Energy
  • Less Bone Density
  • Harder Time Recovering After Workouts
  • Cholesterol Composition Changes
  • More Fat Around Your Midsection

Remember: It's crucial for men considering HRT to work with specialists in this field, such as those at LX Medical, who can offer a comprehensive approach to treatment. Proper testing, personalized therapy, and regular monitoring are crucial parts of a successful HRT plan.

Common Signs That a Female's Hormones Are Imbalanced

Menopause occurs when a woman has not had a menstrual cycle for at least 12 consecutive months. It is a natural part of the aging process, resulting from declining levels of sex hormones in women, causing the ovaries to stop releasing egg cells and preventing pregnancy.

While most women experience menopause in their 40s or 50s, about 1% undergo premature menopause before the age of 40. Typically, women notice bodily changes a few months or years before entering menopause due to hormone deficiency. When that happens, many doctors suggest HRT to help alleviate the associated discomfort and pain.

Here are a few of the most common signs that may indicate a woman's hormones are imbalanced:

 Weight Loss Eagan, MN

Irregular periods are a common indication that women are approaching menopause, and their hormones might be changing. Their menstrual cycle may occur more or less frequently, and the flow can be heavier or lighter than usual, as well as lasting for a shorter or longer duration.Women in perimenopause often struggle to anticipate when their period will start or how long it will last. It becomes challenging to determine whether the flow is light or heavy. Although the likelihood of getting pregnant decreases, it is still possible as long as they are having their period. Postmenopausal women should not experience any bleeding or spotting. If this occurs, it's crucial to promptly consult a doctor regarding unexplained vaginal bleeding.

Menstrual-Cycle-Changes

Insufficient estrogen levels can lead to changes in libido, making it more challenging for some women to feel sexually aroused. Menopause commonly results in vaginal dryness and thinning vaginal tissues, leading to discomfort or even pain during sex. Fortunately, HRT in Eagan can help rebalance your hormones and reignite your sexual desire, as well as improve your overall vaginal health.

Low-Libido

During menopause, the decrease in estrogen levels can cause the urethra, which is the tube responsible for carrying urine from the kidneys out of the body, to weaken. Consequently, some women may struggle to reach the bathroom in time. It's also possible for urine to leak when coughing, sneezing, or laughing, a condition known as urinary stress incontinence.

The signs above are only a few indicators that your hormones might be changing during menopause. Keep an eye out for these symptoms as well:

  • Hot Flashes
  • Intense Mood Swings
  • Hair Loss
  • Chronic Insomnia
  • Night Sweats
  • Ongoing Vaginal Burning and Itching
Urinary-Concerns

If you're a woman trying to make it through the rigors of menopause, the first step you should take is to book lab work with a hormone healthcare expert from LX Medical. Advanced, custom testing that identifies relevant biomarkers can determine whether your female hormones need to be balanced properly. If your hormones are imbalanced, our team will develop a personalized hormone replacement therapy program tailored to your body to address the issue.

If you're a woman thinking about HRT, it's very important to work with experts - like those at LX Medical - who specialize in the field of hormone replacement therapy. There are a lot of clinics out there that will prescribe you HRT, but few do the right amount of testing and monitoring to begin a successful HRT plan.

"The maze was then constructed from 3,452 blocks of ice, each weighing about 425 pounds. The maze was completed Jan. 4, and ice sculptures and lights were then installed prior to a visit by a Guinness World Records adjudicator."

Guinness World Records says.

"The ice maze uses 3,452 blocks of ice, each weighing approximately 425 lbs."

"Robbie Harrell, founder and CEO of festival organizer Minnesota Ice, said construction of the maze at TCO Stadium in Eagan began Dec. 1. To protect the field, layers of gravel and plywood were laid down. The labyrinth was built from 3,452 ice blocks, each weighing about 193 kilograms, writes UPI."

Minnesota's New Country reports.

"Included within the maze is 'QB's Scavenger Hunt,' which can earn maze-goers prizes after they complete it.

"Other events slated to take place at the festival include musician Adam Daniel in the Minnesota Lottery Warming House, a Bloody Mary bar by Cry Baby Craig's and a meet-and-skate with Leslie Fhima of the Golden Bachelor."

"The ice maze at the Minnesota Ice Festival in Eagan has earned the distinction of being the world’s largest, a year after the event was cancelled due to unseasonal warm weather," the Star Tribune reports.

"The ice maze, which has been erected in the open-air TCO Stadium at the Vikings’ Eagan campus, measures more than 18,148 square feet, significantly bigger than the 12,855-square-foot Arctic Glacier Ice Maze that previously held the record at the Buffalo Powder Keg Festival in Buffalo, N.Y, back in 2010.

"This year, the Minnesota Ice Festival also has three ice slides, an ice-skating rink and ice bars. The festival will run until mid February."

An Eagan native with Autism whose doctors told her she would “never live independently” is one of 18 castaways competing to win $1 million on the upcoming “Survivor 48,” which debuts Feb. 26 on CBS.

Eva Erickson, 24, graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2022 and was the first and only female player on the school’s hockey team. She’s currently pursuing a PhD at Brown University School of Engineering, where she’s captain of the men’s club hockey team.

“I want to go on ‘Survivor’ to show the world a version of Autism they don’t often portray in mainstream media,” she said in an interview published by Entertainment Weekly. “I am Autistic, but my Autism experience is unique and will give people hope that even if they are on the spectrum they can still accept who they are and be successful.

“I was diagnosed very young and my family was told I would never live independently. I have succeeded in life far beyond anyone’s imagination of my life having achieved big goals in hockey, my officiating career, my doctoral studies and in forming so many friends who love me for who I am.”

Erickson said “energetic, driven, competitive” are three words to describe her and she counts hockey, water sports and rollerblading among her favorite hobbies. She interned at St. Paul’s Baxter International Inc. and 3M while pursuing her first college degree.

In a CBS promotional video, she said she started watching “Survivor” in college because her hockey teammates created a drinking game centered around the show: “The first time we played, I won. I hope there’s some drinking game challenge out here that I can win.

Erickson said her hockey background will be an asset on “Survivor” as she’s “used to competing against men twice my size who think they are better than me. I am prepared to bring my fierce competitive nature to my game of ‘Survivor.’

“I’m gritty as hell. I will work harder than anyone else in this game. I also am smart and smart enough to hide my intelligence. This is a game of minimizing perceived threat level so by emphasizing my physical abilities while downplaying my intelligence I will fly under the radar to success.”

The 48th season of “Survivor” was filmed in June on Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands. At least 10 Minnesotans have competed on the show in the past, including North St. Paul native Carolyn Wiger, who placed third on “Survivor 44” and is currently competing on the third season of “The Traitors” on Peacock.

Amazon has purchased a piece of land on what was formerly the Thomson Reuters campus in Eagan for $52.5 million in cash, according to a certificate of real estate value released Thursday.

The CRV says the property will be used for a distribution warehouse, which aligns with the master plan for development for the Thomson Reuters campus, a plan that was passed by the Eagan City Council in November.

The development master plan that was considered in November labeled this parcel of land as “Project Nova.” The campus is at 610 Opperman Drive in Eagan.

According to a description of the proposal, the now Amazon-owned land will have a building with a “multi-story 650,000 square footprint” property that could total 3.6 million square feet. There will be 1,274 parking spaces, along with 428 trailer parking stalls and 56 loading docks.

This $52.5 million trade continues a strong relationship between Ryan and the online retail giant. Both in the metro and the rest of the nation, the developer has built a number projects for Amazon. Ryan completed Project Bell in Woodbury for Amazon about four years ago. Earlier this year, Ryan proposed “Project Wrangler,” a building with a similar look to Project Bell, to Woodbury but only confirmed that the end-user was a household name in the online retail space.

The entirety of the development plan aims to transform 179 acres of land into industrial properties, townhomes and single-family homes. Though a purchase agreement was struck earlier last year, Ryan closed on the site in late December 2024, buying it for $41 million.

Early December saw Eagan give the green light to a 104-unit townhome development pitched by Lennar Corp. This development will sit to the northwest of the future Amazon distribution center.

A Ryan spokesperson declined to comment on this story when reached by Finance & Commerce.

Ryan’s redevelopment of the Thomson Reuters campus comes as the business conglomerate announced it would be vacating most of the campus except for a print manufacturing facility. However, the company remains in Eagan, having moved into The Landing near TCO Performance Center at Viking Lakes.

Colliers Senior Vice President John McCarthy said in a December interview that Ryan and Eagan had made good efforts to rework the campus for mixed uses. McCarthy was involved in the transaction between Ryan and Thomson Reuters, but he was not involved in the lot sale between Ryan and Amazon.

“They’re like trying to turn the Titanic,” McCarthy said of office campuses. “It takes big movements but they’re always generally good real estate, good locations.”

The building of distribution centers is not the only business in the forefront for Amazon. The retailer’s data services group purchased a 378-acre Becker site back in early November for $73.7 million, according to a CRV.
